Self-Acceptance

Greater understanding of the situations and events that have contributed to psychological problems. Increased self-compassion amd acceptance of yourself.

Mental Mastery

Practical Tools

Practical tools to manage life’s challenges. From stress management to mindfulness, develop tools to help you maintain mental well-being.

The work is not to start again, but to stay with the threads that are already here, and to begin weaving with more awareness. Noticing what we carry, what we choose and how our lives continue to take shape.

Brief Psychotherapy by design

Unhemmed Hearts is a relational practice rooted in the belief that experience is not something to be corrected, reduced, or neatly categorised.

Threads of connection.
Threads of memory.
Threads not yet sewn.

This work is not about being analysed or fixed. It is a collaborative unfolding — a shared slowing down in which meaning is co-created through relationship.

This is a reflective, time-limited practice. It offers contained moments of conversation or writing, designed to support clarity and understanding without the expectation of ongoing therapy.

Single One-Off Session

A 90 minute one-off session offering a space to slow down and reflect on a particular experience, question or decision.

This can be helpful of you’re feeling stuck or uncertain about something.
Or if you want to reflect and process a specific experience
and would value a safe, nurturing space to support you.

This is a standalone session. There is no expectation of future bookings.

Series of Sessions

Book a short series of sessions if you’d like a bit more time to explore what’s going on for you at present.

This might be working through a transition, or reflecting on patterns, thoughts and feelings that suggest something needs processing.

You don’t need to have a specific question or experience you want to work on – sometimes just giving yourself the time and space you need to truly connect with yourself can allow for insight to emerge.

Not sure how many sessions to book? That’s totally understandable. We can think about this together in the free consultation. I’m here to help with this – you don’t have to figure this out this alone.

Is this right for Me?

There are times in life when therapy can provide the space and support needed to help people navigate difficulties and/or relieve mental distress.

This may be a period of bereavement, when having a dedicated space to express and process feelings of loss can make a meaningful difference.

It could also be during times of transition such as moving home, changing jobs, or navigating other life shifts that bring stress and uncertainty.

People may seek short-term therapy when they are experiencing a sense of unease, disconnection, or feeling out of step with themselves, and want a space to pause, reflect, and make sense of what they are carrying without the expectation of a long-term commitment.

For example, you may look capable from the outside while privately feeling exhausted, disconnected, or overwhelmed. Common issues I treat:

  • Racing mind, inability to be in the present
  • Constant pressure to perform, often self imposed. Feeling guilt for resting
  • Using work, alcohol or relationships to avoid sitting with feelings
  • Finding social events exhausting due to having to perform
  • Comparing to others, often resulting in ‘I need to do/be more…’ Or ‘Im not x enough’
  • Persistent sense of worthlessness.

Flexible formats

I offer a variety of formats you can choose to have all the same or to combine. Some clients have reported having the first and last session as a written exchange as particulary helpful. Read more here.

One to one în person

In person sessions take place in London only. Usually East, but occasionally West. 50 minutes, book a single session up to maximum of 12 sessions at any time.

Written exchange

You write me a letter, I read it and send you a reply. 50 minutes (my reading and replying) . Single-session up to a maximum of 10.

One to One online

Via Zoom/teams. Timezone GMT. 50 minutes, book from a single session up to maximum of 12 sessions at any time.

Video/Audio exchange

You record a video and send it to me, Ill record one back in response. 50 minutes time in total (my watching and replying).

Notes:

*for written and video formats, the time you spend writing/recording is not considered in the 50 minutes session time.

*If you book a series of 5 sessions you can choose whichever formats you wish. See two suggestions below. You can find a guide on how to make the most out of alternative format sessions here.

*Formats can be changed so if one week a written session works better for you then we can change it to that.

*There is no strict rule on how long your written/recorded format should be, however, the time it takes me to read/watch what you send will be deducted from the 50 minutes session time. So if you send a 40 minute video you’ll only get a 10 minute long response.

*Alternative formats considered: Art Therapy, Music Therapy or Outdoor sessions.

*You reserve the right to cancel sessions if you feel you no longer want to continue therapy. There will no no charge for cancelling remaining sessions of a package and any fees paid in advance will be fully refunded.

Mixed Format Series

Below are two suggested options for using alternative formats. To help you make the most out of this type of therapy, I’ll provide some resources. See here as an example.
