Unravel with me

Focused

Unhemmed Hearts offers therapy that is more than just a space to vent each week. Each session is focused and purposeful, and my approach is one which both supports, encourages and gently challenges.

As an Integrative Therapist I draw from a wide range of evidence based approaches, tools and techniques to deliver unique, personalised sessions to suit your needs. You can read more about my approach here.

Using evidence-based practice, you’ll develop resilience, find your focus, free yourself from old beliefs and expectations and make conscious, positive decisions that move you closer to a life with more ease, self-awareness, acceptance and growth.

A space where you can be truly seen, understood and supported

Hi, I’m Thea.

Over the past 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting people to overcome psychological challenges, reconnect with themselves, and create lives that feel more authentic and meaningful.

My approach has been shaped by a wide range of experiences. Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked as a linguistics tutor, where I developed a fascination with how language shapes our understanding of ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us. Studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) deepened my interest in questions about knowledge, values, and the ways modern life influences how we think and live.

What Matters Most

As a therapist, I’ve worked with people from many different backgrounds, including some of the most vulnerable and socially excluded members of our communities. I’ve also had the privilege of working with clients from a wide range of cultural backgrounds, each bringing their own unique experiences, perspectives, and strengths.

Much of my work centres on helping people reconnect with who they are beneath the expectations, pressures, and roles they’ve taken on over time. Together, we explore what matters most to you, so that your life can become more aligned with your values and the person you want to be.

Alongside one-to-one therapy, I have a particular interest in group dynamics, collaboration, and collective wellbeing. I enjoy creative ways of bringing people together, whether through circle singing, forum theatre, sport, or community projects. From time to time, I also run free workshops, both online and in person, and collaborate with other organisations and groups.
